Ombré brows involve a semi-permanent technique where tiny dots of pigment are gently placed into the skin. This creates a soft-shaded effect, resembling a perfectly filled-in brow with a subtle ombré gradient.
-
Suitable for all skin types, including oily or sensitive skin, this technique minimizes the need for frequent touch-up appointments when compared to microblading. It creates the illusion of fuller, well-defined eyebrows.
-
Both microblading and ombré shading are semi-permanent tattoo techniques, but they have distinct applications:
Microblading
- Creates short, hair-like strokes.
- Mimics the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs.
- Ideal for achieving a defined and realistic look.
- Requires precise manual work by a skilled technician.
Ombré Shading
- Gradually deposits pigment using tiny dots.
- Results in a soft-shaded pencil look.
- Suitable for those who prefer a more subtle and blended effect.
- Achieved through a combination of manual and machine techniques.
-
Cosmetic tattooing, also referred to as semi-permanent makeup, involves the precise insertion of specialized pigments into the skin using various devices such as a digital tattoo machine or a microblading pen.
Skilled technicians perform this procedure, possessing an in-depth understanding of facial anatomy, color theory, and aesthetics. The pigments are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin, creating lasting cosmetic effects. -
Microblading is a form of semi permanent makeup that involves using a head of tiny fine-point needles to manually deposit hair-like strokes of pigment into the skin to mimic the look of real brow hairs. This technique is not recommended for combination and oily skin types.
-
Ombre otherwise known as misty brows or microshading is a form of semi permanent makeup meant to replicate a soft powder/makeup filled brow or a brow tint. This method uses a machine to deposit ink into the upper layers of the skin. The results are soft and powdery, as opposed to having fine hair like strokes. This technique works great for all skin types, especially oilier clients who are not suitable candidates for microblading.
THE PROCEDURE
-
Everyone has a different pain tolerance, but most clients find the process very bearable. All clients are numbed using two different numbing creams for a total of 30 minutes before we begin the procedure. Numbing cream is reapplied as needed throughout to ensure all of our clients are as comfortable as possible.
-
The initial appointment typically lasts around 3-4 hours. During this time, we perform numbing, brow shaping, color matching, and the tattoo process. Our priority is to take as much time as necessary to ensure your brows are absolutely perfect!
-
The initial appointment takes approximately 3 hours. This includes numbing, brow shaping , colour matching and the tattoo process. We take as long as we need to ensure your brows are perfection!
-
While most of our clients achieve beautiful, healed results after their initial appointment, some may benefit from an additional touch-up session 6-8 weeks later. This touch-up allows us to perfect small areas and make adjustments based on the client’s preferences, such as density and color.
-
A few days following your appointment, your brows will begin to scab. Similar to how a paper cut heals, they will appear dark and thick as scabs form. Gradually, these scabs will flake off. It’s completely normal for your brows to look patchy during this healing phase. To achieve the best results, it’s essential to keep them dry for the first 7-10 days and avoid picking at the scabs.
Once the scabs have fallen off, your brows may initially appear lighter than expected. Over the next few weeks, they will darken as the color returns to the surface. If necessary, you can schedule your 6-8 week touch-up appointment at this stage.
-
Individual skin types play a significant role in how brows heal. Depending on your skin’s characteristics and your body’s healing ability, certain areas may retain pigment better than others. Our utmost priority is to ensure even healing for your brows. While some clients may need a touch-up around the 6-8 week mark, others may not. Patience is key, as each person’s body responds uniquely. Rest assured, we strive to achieve the desired results for everyone!

AFTER-CARE
-
Following the procedure, your brows will appear bold, dark, and may have a red tint. As they progress through the healing process, they will gradually lighten. It’s normal to experience slight swelling and redness immediately after your appointment.
-
After the procedure, follow these guidelines for optimal healing:
1. Keep Brows Dry: Avoid wetting your eyebrows for the first 7-10 days. This means no swimming, saunas, steam, excessive sweating, or applying products around the brow area.
2. Avoid Oils and Moisturizers: Refrain from using oils, moisturizers, and exfoliating products on your brow and forehead area during the healing process.
3. Shower Carefully: When showering, take extra precautions to keep your brows as dry as possible. This helps the pigment heal effectively.
4. Hands Off: Resist the urge to scrub, wash, pick, or itch your fresh brows. Let them heal naturally.
5. Complimentary Care Kit: You’ll receive a complimentary care kit with detailed instructions to follow for the best healed results.
Remember, proper aftercare is essential for beautiful, long-lasting brows!
-
To keep your brows looking their best over time, consider the following steps:
1. Yearly Maintenance: We recommend booking a yearly maintenance appointment to refresh the brow color and maintain their overall appearance.
2. Sun Protection: Apply SPF 30+ on your healed brows daily. This helps maintain their color and prevents any sun-related discoloration.
3. Avoid Exposure: Be mindful of exposing your brows to the sun, exfoliants, retinols, chlorine, and chemical peels. These factors can accelerate fading.
4. Individual Results: Keep in mind that everyone’s healed results depend on their skin type, lifestyle, and commitment to protecting their beautiful new brows!
Remember, consistent care ensures long-lasting, gorgeous brows!
